Hello all, I am pleased to be joining this group and hope to find (and maybe provide) some useful information.

I collected my #1 Brabus two weeks ago and am still learning how to use it. I’m an old codger so it’s going to take a while.
I have a specific problem that Smart are currently looking to solve: according to the Hello Smart app, the car is currently unlocked in the North Sea just off Bruges, and has 30% charge. In fact, it is securely locked outside my house and charged to 80%.

The car was delivered with 1.4EU and I’m using the latest version of Hello Smart.

Smart Europe are looking at the issue, but I’ve had no indication from them that they have seen this before. Has anyone in the group?

Other ‘features’ I am struggling with are that the walk up / walk away unlock / lock doesn’t always work, the ‘puddle’ lighting doesn’t always work, and the door handles don’t always retract, even when the doors are locked, and the vehicle is in motion. I’m still new to this so I’m quite prepared to accept that I might have a setting or two to change.

I do like the car though: stylish, comfy, smooth, quiet, and boy is it fast when asked to be. I started looking at this car in January and have still not seen another one on the road other than our test drive vehicle. I heard their target sales for all UK is 8000 pa.

I know it’s the pioneers that get the arrows, and I’m a little nervous.

Sounds like maybe it's pointing to another car maybe on a ferry, has it moved yet keep an eye on it over the coming days and if it moves take screenshots as evidence

Hi, had my Brabus a month now, my app also thinks im in Bruges with 37 percentage charge. Very disappointed after how slick my Renault app worked with my Zoe.

Thanks Pacemaker, how interesting, exactly the same data.
Does you app allow you to change the controls? I just get the modern equivalent of the egg timer of doom!

The walk up/walk away feature does sometimes (5 out of 100 times) not open the door handles or lock the door. I just touch the little dimple on the handle and it will then open. I listen for the locking beep as I walk away, and just use the key to lock if it doesn't happen (or the app).

The puddle lights are sometimes affected by water on the little projector under the mirrors such the the light isn't very strong. I just wipe it off with my hand on the rare occasions that I have had it happen.

The door handles retract above a given speed so may well stay out if you are moving slowly. A quick press of the locking button will retract them.

By the way, I am presuming that you have logged your car into the app and are using the profiles functionality. This will save your settings for you so that they are there all the time when you drive the car.

Hope some of that is useful.

Thanks, yes that is useful. With two more weeks of use, I am getting used to its foibles.

Curiouser and curiouser... the image on my app is of 'my' car, silver with black roof and red Brabus trim.

I had the same problem and it was because I had not set online service, which is accessed in Privacy settings. Which is the top one in the Privacy screen. I hope this solves your problem.
