i have just updated to 1.5.0
Drive set up button
Great you can set all in one place, but i had already done this in settings and worked fine before
Now since update and filling it all in in drive set up and saving and activating, i have to put it into drive, swipe down screen and hit activation button each time to maintain saved functions. couple of times forgotten to swipe and activate. Each time speed limit, which i have set to visual only in both drive set up and general settings, reverts to audio and visual. However if i go into drive set up or settings is saved as visual only. Can this not be saved to profile rather than having to swipe and hit activate each time you get into car!!?

I was beginning to think that I was going nuts over this. I thought that the setting would be saved after I turned it to visual only but it keeps going back to audio and visual. What is worse it does it when speedo is 41mph and GPS actual is 39mph, so I am still actually under the limit!Martinprice wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:58 am

There will be some legal reasoning behind it no doubt, I think it's a requirement by law now if these features are fitted to a car they have to be active at start up, for them to get their ncap rating.so the driver has to actively chose to turn them off each journey for it to comply with the regulations?
There is indeed a legal requirement but I agree, it's really annoying.
Interestingly Mercedes, the parent company, have a small icon on the home screen which you can press to deactivate the bleeping without having to delve into variuous menu sublevels. Admittedly, it still needs to be done each time you start a trip but it's still easier than the Smart.

Agree it is annoying.
My other vehicle which also has the same year of NCAP certification persists the settings across restarts so perhaps the need to have to do it on every start is a Euro requirement.
The other annoyance with LKA is that on the smart it does not appear to be able to set it to only give a warning & not constantly try to intervene.. hence it gets disabled.
Note that this is in reference to LKA, not ELKA.

The only time I have seen the green lanes is when lane assist is on and you are using Smart Pilot, which directs the car to switch lanes when you flick the indicator in the direction of the green lane.
